The field for the first "Run what you Brung" hardbody NASCAR race at BPR
Taken: Oct 16, 2007
Various vintage as well as late model NASCARs ready to race on this futuristic new flat track which allows up to 5 cars in each lane to race at the same time!
Even race cars pretending to be NASCARs snuck into the race!
A porsche here, trans am there, jalopy and whatever got into this slugfest
Cale had to run for his life as #88 '49 Olds and the '57 Plymouth Belvedere gave him fits all race long.
The greatest 13 NASCAR racers ever, L-R, Roger Uusitalo, Ken Dylke, Greg Carter, Paul Sterrett, John Sinz, Yoshi Akiyama, Jeff Bell, Mark Wampler, Jeff Easterly, Jim Watterson, Dokk, Keith (camera man).
Typical race action as Dokk would do any trick in the book to run over his competition.
It's only fair since the white car was illegal in Dokk's eye(s) since it had no numbers. All kidding aside, it's actually Mark Wampler's TSRF loaner car undercutting the unmarked white TSRF car.
The survivors of this first ever "Run what you Brung" hardbody NASCAR race, L-R, Paul D3 Sterrett 2nd, Jim "hardbody" Watterson 1st, Ken "dual motor" Dylke 3rd. Hey Ken, what happened to your other motor!
Paul's plain jane 98 on the left, Jim's SKIL car in the lead and Ken's 36D hardbody on the right.
Jim's car was being broadsided by these two big 36Ds all race long. Well folks, this race report was fictional. It was written to get you all excited about "Run what you Brung" racing, but the real race was just plain FUN!
